The Manufacturer’s 2024 research revealed that the biggest challenge facing the industry is Leadership, People, and Skills (24% of manufacturing leaders said this is the most pressing issue). What the research discovered is that that culture and skills are at the root of this. 

Young, tech-native demographics entering the workforce are bringing to light the need for a cultural shift. And, as an aging industry during Industry 4.0, we’re desperately in need of attracting young people with these digital skills.

But, how do we do this? How do we rebrand the industry while attracting the talent that will help us do just that?

  • (Reverse) Mentoring - young people and business leaders learn from one another in speed mentoring and reverse mentoring sessions. Explore topics supporting young people in navigating career paths in the rapidly evolving field of manufacturing and encourage business leaders to consider the role they have to play in building a bright future for the industry.
