What are they key challenges for Maintenance Engineers in the next 12 months?
In the current financial climate, costs are under scrutiny as never before and assets are being kept working well beyond their design life. RS partnered with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) to take the pulse of the profession. Over 1,200 members globally responded to the survey. RS launched the report based on the findings of the survey in May 2023. This report focuses on the responses of nearly 700 people in the UK and Ireland and covers five key areas.
The Manufacturer Multimedia Editor, Tom St John, was in discussion with Gary Harvey, who is the Head of Field service, and Rob Webster, who is the Head of Onsite Condition Monitoring, at RS Maintenance solutions. They talked about the newly launched report: Industry in Motion.
They shared the rich insights and challenges that engineers had told us they face, with a focus on downtime and rising costs. Gary and Rob will guide you through the pitfalls of a lack-lustre maintenance strategy and will also explore the effects of planned versus unplanned downtime, ageing assets, and resource pressures.
If you are a Maintenance Engineer, or work in the maintenance sector, join a webinar discussing the findings and uncovering the insight from the responses.
