About this session

Manufacturers of all sizes are beginning to embrace the values of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability. However, many executives aren't aware of how to engage employees in daily activities that put those values into practice.

This session will be exploring best practice for doing so such as:
  • ‘Ask and listen’. The people in our businesses are aware of the sustainability problems which exist, large and small and they often hold some interesting insight into how to resolve them.
  • Providing tools for success. Educate and inform your people about what you are doing to resolve the sustainability risks you face. Embrace a transparent culture of sharing and communication, use Green Teams, Volunteering, Lunch and Learn and have fun with Sustainability Knowledge Hubs.
  • Where you can invite industry experts and suppliers into the business to take your people on the sustainability journey.
  • Build clear, concise and consistent messaging.

Discussion leader:
Tanya Ashton, Former CSR Business Partner, The Silver Spoon Co (British Sugar)
